Ready to truly unwind—with your horse right by your side? At Circle H Equine, nestled within the stunning landscapes of Graves Mountain Farm, you’ll find the ultimate equestrian escape.

Pitch your tent or park your trailer beneath the stars, bring your own corral panels or electric fencing, and enjoy easy access to fresh water and over 1,800 acres of breathtaking trails. From serene woodlands and sparkling streams to blooming orchards and sweeping views of Shenandoah National Park, every trail invites discovery.

Camping is affordable and welcoming for the whole family. Adults and youth aged 15 and up stay for just $12 per night, while children between 6 and 14 are only $6 per night. Little ones five and under camp for free. Your horse is welcome for just $10 per night, and for those with spirited companions, we also offer secure overnight stabling for $25 per night—giving you peace of mind while your horse rests in comfort.

Whether you're visiting for a weekend getaway or settling in for an extended stay, our horse-friendly campgrounds offer a one-of-a-kind experience in one of Virginia’s most scenic trail systems.

Guidelines for camping

Horse Camping at Graves Mountain Campground


You're horse camping experience across 7 acres of free-form camping on our sprawling 1,800-acre farm.
Set up your camp your way, with the freedom to create your perfect space within the designated boundaries. Equip your spot with hot wire fencing to suit your horse’s needs, and enjoy essential amenities like water spigots, a small electrical supply for devices, and manure cleanup buckets. For your comfort, porta-toilets and pit toilets are available, along with bathhouse facilities featuring sinks and showers just a short walk away.


While you’re here, immerse yourself in nature! Collect firewood from the forest or purchase it at the Market-Deli & Tackle. Build your own fire ring from river rocks found along the field edges—and don’t forget to return the rocks afterward to keep the area ready for mowing.


Enjoy modern conveniences like Fiber Optic WiFi, allowing you to call and receive calls even without cell service. You’ll find the WiFi password at the bulletin board, Market, or Main Lodge.
Bring your dog companions along—they’re welcome as long as they stay on a leash. Explore nearby attractions like the swimming hole or take a dip in the pool (available for $10 per person per day).
With Circle H Stables guiding services, you can also enjoy access to Shenandoah National Park trails—no park fees required! Open 24 hours, we ask for quiet arrivals during the night to preserve the peace of the campground.
